Addison Wright is a filmmaker and creative from the South Side of Chicago and a graduate of Delaware State University. His foundation as a filmmaker started with creating music videos, which led him to narrative work throughout the years.
“Hiplet: Because We Can” is his first film that was an Official Selection of SXSW 2020. His film, "Hiplet: Because We Can" was also featured on Amazon Prime/SXSW series and also became a Vimeo Staff Pick. In 2021, Addison was one of three filmmakers selected to be highlighted in the Scene in Color film series presented by NBC Universal and Target.
Directors like Spike Lee, Hype Williams and Spike Jonze inspired his passion for film. With 7+ years of filmmaking under his belt, he aims to inspire people with his creativity within the years to come.
